Ashwake Studios was actually fully created AFTER our first film was released. The Artistic Director had the idea to create this film a few months before the creation of the next project.
The Little Death is about Camila, a girl who's slipping away in silence. Lost in her own world, no one sees how much she's hurting—until her friends do. It's a story about falling apart, and the people who help you piece yourself back together.
Then moving onto the summer of 2025, the main project dawned upon the team: Echo. Echo is a short film about how grief can be used as fuel for people living in already constricted lives. And following the narrative of how being in close proximity with people can actually save them, we have kept that recurring theme throughout this new film.
